T O P I C R E V I E WFmVenusWLoveJust curious, are aspects from one person's natal chart to a composite equally significant or more/less significant than aspects to the other person's natal chart? For example: If John Doe's DC conjuncts the Composite Sun, Merc, and Venus but does not aspect any of Jane Doe's planets, will he still feel that Jane expresses the traits he desires in a partner? Or will he feel that way about the relationship itself?I know there are likely a lot of other factors that might play a part in this hypothetical, but I'm curious how much aspects to the Composite affect how someone feels about another person. Thanks!llewsacmThis is a great question! Based on my understanding, synastry relates to compatibility between the two people. It shows where there would be an easy flowing energy vs. Energy two people may need to work through in the relationship. Composites represent the energy of the relationship as a whole. Your question about John doe having 3 planets in the composite conjunct his natal descendant would lead me to believe that John's view of the relationship resonates strongly with him. Comparing the composite to each persons natal chart should give you an idea of how each person might feel about that relationship, what it represents to them. Sure, there are other factors, but I've also seen strong composites when aspects were lacking in synastry and many are long lasting and satisfying relationships. Not sure if I addressed what you were looking for but hopefully this helps. FmVenusWLoveThanks so much llewsacm That does answer my question. So, is it fair to say that if there are challenging aspects in the Synastry that positive aspects to the Composite could maybe motivate someone to work it out more because they feel so strongly about the relationship?Btw, noticed you're a fellow Clevelander Welcome to LL.FaithIt's interesting because sometimes we are attracted to a relationship for reasons that seem non-intelligible, fated. We may not even seriously like the person but sense there is something about them we have to get closer to.I was just reading about this topic over at cafeastrology. The composite sun with my husband is conjunct my IC (most likely ~ birth time not set in stone.) quote: If, for example, the composite Sun of the relationship falls on an individual's IC (fourth house cusp), the relationship may be almost primal to the person. It may easily become habitual. This person is likely to be attached to the relationship in a very basic way, and might have a hard time believing he or she can exist without it. http://www.cafeastrology.com/compositechart.html If this scheme sounds attractive to anyone, they could actually select a future partner by figuring out the number of degrees between their sun and IC, and finding someone whose sun is the same number of degrees from their IC. In my case, my sun is 80 degrees from my IC (I think) and my husband's sun is also about 80 degrees from my IC. Recipe for "primal" relationship. ---Additionally the composite IC-Saturn is tightly conjunct my husband's moon. I think it makes him very committed. FaithSorry I didn't answer your question about the DSC directly, I don't really know, but I'm assuming it would make the DSC person feel like the relationship is ideal in many ways.llewsacmYeah Cleveland! Lol.In my opinion based on what I have seen, the composite can be more significant than synastry. So I would say even with less than desirable synastry, a healthy composite could create energy within the union that both people would feel and want.3l3nNice thread! What could n.Venus on c.North Node show us?And n.North node conjuct c.Jupiter?3l3n quote:Originally posted by Faith:It's interesting because sometimes we are attracted to a relationship for reasons that seem non-intelligible, fated.
